Ben Kweller

My doctors name is Howard Kweller. He is someone I would consider my friend. In times that I did not listen and stopped taking meds he has been stern with me. I appreciate all Howard has done for me. Oh and did I mention his son Ben Kweller. A young musician that is light years ahead of some of us. He holds his ground and controls his art. If your not familiar with Ben, check out his music

I love the song "In Other Words"

Wow, this kid's got it. You have excellent taste. Heard a bit of Counting Crows in there, listened to some of his other songs, voice reminds me of Violent Femmes for some reason too. Thanks for mentioning him.

Gary,
Ben has been in bands since be was 14. His band Raddish did four albums and toured the world. He has been around, he has many of his songs in movie soundtracks, TV shows such as The OC. He has done well for himself. I really like his attitude toward it all. He shows so much respect. Check out his guitars, the red Strat has a great INXS story. I am proud of this man.

Wow Joe,
that's too spookey. I love that Epiphone Texan, and nice detail about Paul using it on Blackbird. I'm actually doing a demo of Blackbird right now. I had metronome going all the way through, but you'll notice it slows down and stops part way through, and this I am trying to perfect so it sounds like the original, minus bird sounds.

Michael Hutchence was a fantastic lead singer, oh what could have been. I can't understand suicide, never have, never will. I've had my dark days, but always had hope that life would get better.

Yeah, Ben Kweller has it going on alright. I'm going to listen to more of his stuff and try pick up his CD. I like well produced, well written songs, and he has them.

We're sitting around waiting for the car to airport. I'm taking my Martin with me on the off chance that Pete needs someone to sit in with him ;-)

Hi Joe,

So many talents...
Sometimes I think "why him/her, or not someone else?"
Is it luck,is it fate, is it good management, a lucky star what is it?

E.g. here in the UK we are brainwashed with that guy, James Blunt. Yaaaaaawn. So why him and not, lets say Mikey, who is so much more talented and his songs much more interesting and beautiful. Oh, I said beautiful and remembered the J. Blunt song "You're beautiful".

*vomits*

I hope Ben finds huge success, he sounds very talented.
:-)
