And So This is Christmas

I guess I can say Christmas came a little early this year. With all that Rachel and Pete have been giving us. Lots of their music, along with Mikey and Simon. Lets not forget The Vibrants. I have been given an extended family in all my blog mates. We share good and bad. When I started this blog, I never realized how much a blog can do. It is amazing, and I thank all of you for this. Another way Christmas came early this year, a women has come into my life. I have known her for almost 3 years. We have been friends, and both of us had been involved with other people. With both of us ending up at the same spot. She was so kind to me when I was ill. I was always attracted to her, and I think she was to me. She showed me interest, but at the time, I was not really well enough to appreciate it. She ask me out (I was flattered), and now we see each other on a regular basis. Her name is Sharon. Such a pretty woman, with such a kind nature. She lives in the country with her horses, llamas, geese, ducks, dog, and cats. She has 3 lovely daughters and 1 son. I have been truly blessed and feel so lucky to end this year this way. This year started out for me with tragedy, illness, and even the loss of a dear friend. This year ends for me in a fantastic way. I have next year to look forward to my CD release, my son's band CD. And of course working on growing my new relationship. I am so happy for Gary, he got to go home to England and see the Basement Jam as did Marietta and many other bloggers. Thanks again to you all. I wish all the best, and never forget there is a silver lining. Here are some pics of Sharon and her 2 teenage daughters. Left to right is Danielle, Sharon, and Natalie. Natalie lives with Sharon. Danielle lives with her Dad in Allen Texas. And last but not least "The Gang of Four" Sharon's llamas.

Hi Joe - Yes I have a great devotion for Pete. Since the only guitar I play is "air", I just can appreciate him as a great musician that I have loved since I was 15...plus that fact I have always thought he was totall "hot".

Joe,

Thankyou very much for the comments on my blog. I had to laugh, though, when you called me "a well seasoned young man". I'm actually a young woman. But thankyou all the same. :p

It's so nice to hear that you have found someone that was so close to you all this time. That normally makes for the best "someone" you can find.

Best wishes in the New Year to you, your Sharon, and her large family (including llamas, geese and all others). I've tossed a cookie to Mr. Pete, pass it on through to the non-virtual Mr. Pete! :)

P.S. Have you checked out the Jazzblog? If you would like to contribute an article, just let me know and I'll add you as a member!

Hi Joe-
Thanks for visiting "ye olde blog" (see I really do miss New England!).
I love Ben Kweller! I heard about him through the Rufus Wainwright message board. He's well received by Rutopians.
I am so happy you have someone special in your life. I would LOVE to live in the country with lots of fun animals around me. This suburbia stuff is a tad too dull.
I used to hang out in Deep Ellum - and we even saw the ZZ Top dudes in a restaurant - they were sitting next to us! I still have a t-shirt I bought at a club there - it's got a Fender on the front and it says; "no black, no white, just blues" on the back.
Lots of good, crazy times in Dallas. But that was before I was a mom (phew!).
Thanks for reminding me about Ben. I will definately pick up his cd.
I love Robert Earle Keene (introduced to me by my Austin friend Mary).
Can't wait to hear your music - and your son's band also.
The Vibrants are very cool - and cute too! (Ok I'll always be a girl! No sex change for me!).
Have a merry and happy one!
~Sue

Thanks for the sweet compliment on my blog. I love my husband dearly and he is a very good looking guy. His pics don't do him justice at all. Most pics of people don't. At least the ones where they are being real vs. posed!

I am so happy for you and Sharon! I wish you both nothing but the best. Being in love is amazing for sure!!

Talk to you soon! we will miss you in the chat but cant wait to hear about your gig and see the pics!

The way our lives cycle is an amazing thing isn't it? It is a very delicate system of checks and balances. Remember, without the difficult challanges in our lives we would be unaware of the times we are reaping the rewards. Always be grateful for all the experiences and the opportunity to learn and grow and become stronger because of them. A beacon radiates from your happiness!

Thanks for the kind comment. It is a work in progress. Actually the chords to my new song "Ballerina Girl".

Yea, bloging is way cool. We get to meet and share with so many fantastic people through this medium. I had no idea myself.

Way cool that your Son is into music. I was jamming with my 16 year old today. What a treat.

Peace, love and light to you and yours.

Hi Joeboy, thanks for the comment, we really did have an unreal time.
Sharon looks lovely and it's great that you found each other at last, it always amazes me the way things turn out. As Mark says you have to have bad times to appreciate the good. Hopefully Sharon will get into blogging too! (hi Sharon, c'mon in and get blogging!)Have a wonderful Christmas together

Ok I checked out that guitar...I will have to see how much it goes for...after all I need to keep my title of "Pete Townshend's No. 1 fan". The only thing I might end up homeless..but at least I would have 2 guitars from him right? hehheheheeh

At 6:55 AM, Blogger Debby said...

There's no way I can afford that now...I hope I can still keep the title.

Wow Joe, I'm honored to know you.

I must say, every time I get a message from you on my blog, it is always something nice and your personality is so genuine and honest. You deserve the very best. I was going to say (without reading the caption to the photo) Beautiful Family.

Merry Christmas Joe.

Your friend,
Gary

PS: Thank you for turning me on to Ben Kweller, I really love that song "In Other Words" and plan on buying his CD once I have paid off my CC bill from our trip.

I just checked out your Scuffer Music Productions page. So that's what you were talking about? Oh. It's a nice set up, that page. I like the photos and what you said.
Again, I'm just really happy for you and Sharon. Is Sean happy for you too?

At 3:24 PM, Blogger JoeBoy said...

PTFAN,
Sean knows, but we have not had time to really chat about it. He likes Sharon and since he has been concerned about me spending too much time in the studio, I would bet he is happy. Thanks for the comments about the scuffermusic.com webpage. It will be redone soon with much more info and links. I did that page in about 2 hours. I added a few things here and there. When Cinda died, I added a little tribute to her.

your blog, I am taking this to heart!
I must admit that I, too have been really helped by meeting all of you.
This christmas I put up a tree, last year I didn't even have the heart. So things are looking up for both of us, my friend.
