PAX ROMANA LAST NIGHT'S SHOW

Here you go Molly. Pics of Cabana Boy at his best. The band followed a really awesome band last night. I kept saying to each member that I would not want to follow that act. I did this on purpose. Before Pax went on I told the whole band that when they take the stage, it belongs to them. Take the attitude that anyone who violates the area will be killed and that God had given them huge genitalia tonight and they should use it to destroy anything in their path. The pep talk really worked. The boys blew down the walls and put on their best show ever. I was so impressed that I was shaking their hands and hugging them. Pax Romana is Brandon Shaver - Guitar, Jess Spires - Vocals, Ben Kennedy - Bass, and Sean Benfield - Drums and Percussion.
2006 is going to be really fab for them.

Now that's a pep talk, Joe. Nothing I can use with students at school, but I like it. :)

I hope 2006 brings your son and his band everything they wish for. And I'm with Marietta- maybe we could get to hear some of their work?

Cheers,
AM

No Anne Marie, I would not use that pep talk in school ha ha. Funny how they all were so intimidated by the band before them. The really funny thing was the look on the faces of the band that had to follow Pax Romana that night. They looked like they were ready to leave, and they were the headliners.

Ha! LOL
(reading about the looks on the faces following)This is so rad, Joeboy, you are so blessed!
I'd listen to clips, if you guys did a LisaTV thing, as Ticharu calls it.:)
Oughtta make Sean listen to my boo-boo-filled-clips. lol They inspire confidence in everyone. :)
Actually, I mean that in a good way. I like how I'm not afraid to screw up to the masses.I've noticed people get more confidence after watching them. :)I'm sure you taught your son "If you screw up, keep going. No biggie."
Webcam show!Webcam show!
The boys oughtta get a webcam jam going. I would if I had people to jam with. Probably be good publicity, send the blog address to your local music show, like I did. Don't know if you caught that the guys at Fox Rox are watching my clips. :) See?
This is sound advice. Hmm...you could email your local radio stations their blog clips. They all watched at Fox,
mine. That's hot the producer got ahold of it. He asked me out for New Years but I actually want to be on the show, so I dunno.
But this is a good idea for your son's band. Those people ( radio statons, music shows) get what hundreds, thousands of albums from bands? Blog, man, blog. :) xoxoLsia

just checked out Ben Kweller. WOW! What's his situation? signed? Looked at his myspace page. Pretty popular!

I've just checked my guitar in to charlie chandler's. A guitar shop down the road where it'll be spending christmas. They'l be checking the saddles, the bridge, the whole intonation, cleaning the pots. Basically giving it a make over. I get it set up every 6 months. I don't half throw it around. I really should get a cheaper guitar to chuck around!
