Ben Kweller

My doctors name is Howard Kweller. He is someone I would consider my friend. In times that I did not listen and stopped taking meds he has been stern with me. I appreciate all Howard has done for me. Oh and did I mention his son Ben Kweller. A young musician that is light years ahead of some of us. He holds his ground and controls his art. If your not familiar with Ben, check out his music

I love the song "In Other Words"

TOWSER TV TREAT

A real treat today on TOWSER TV (formerly WHO TV).
Looks like one of the Japanese shows. Outside in a stadium.
I am like a junkie when it comes to seeing them play live.
Fantastic show, and a smashed Strat at the end.
These are great days we live in my friends.
GREAT DAYS!!!

What Could This Be

I need my blog friends opinion on this. This appeared on my Studio wall downstairs. It spoke and said "You better you better you bet"

Pax Romana

Pax Romana played at Tomcats in the Deep Ellum district of Dallas Friday night. My son is the drummer. A great show that made me very proud. My son is the one in the yellow shirt with the ummm leaf on it. My good friend Donna went with me. All had a great time.

Another Blog

I have started another Blog to share ideas etc. on Recording Music. I feel I can offer some good information, as I am sure others can. I also invite anyone with MP3s posted to post a link to them.
Now lets get on with it.

Now Back to 76

1976 was a great year for me. I had traveled, recorded in a real studio, and had not yet fell in love for the first time. Fell in lust too many times though. This was taken in a hotel room somewhere between Manhattan and Blackpool.

THE 80s

This is a funny pic of me back in the mid 1980s. I thought it was a good follow up to my last post. A jump forward almost 30 years. My hair had been colored and I was power lounging with a smoke to boot. A very lean time in my life, when synths had replaced guitars, and I was wondering what happened to music, or what had happened to me.

My Father

My dad would have turned 83 this month. He was like John Wayne to me when I was a child, and a good friend until the end. He never became a critic of my artistic endeavors. The last time I saw him, I kissed him on the forehead and told him I loved him. That was the first time I had kissed him in 40 years. Kiss your loved ones before you can't anymore. This photo was taken in 1957. Joseph and Joseph JR.

ALL THE BEST COWBOYS

Today was a good day. In the Attic was great today. We had it displayed on a huge wall, thanks to the way over priced LCD projector. Made progress today recording in the studio. Wish I could bang out songs like when I was 20. I am so off schedule. I hope to be ready to send out for mastering by March 06. Seemed a lot easier when I did this in a band. Oh well. Wa Wa Wa. I love this really I do. Everyone is gone and the Studio is bare. Thought I would share these pics from the Edgar Street Studio in solitude. I hope all of my blog mates enjoyed their day today. Thanks for all your kind comments here.

Mice Sing and Digital Projectors

I read this morning that researchers have discovered that mice sing to lure possible sexual encounters. I discovered guitars do this too. I was 12 and got no research grant. WTF?

I suddenly remembered I have an LCD projector for DVD's, and PCs. Everyone is invited to my Studio to watch WhoTV's Attic Series. It will be like watching in the cinema.
